Six months
My super talented friend Meagan took Cade's six month pictures a few weeks ago. I love them! We were in and out in about 45 minutes. Cade did great and the pictures turned out pretty cute.
Here are a few of my favorites...

He stood right up in this bucket! This boy is on the go.

Love that open mouth!

He had one brief tear...but it cleared up quickly. He was probably tired of the foo foo outfit I had on him. I can't blame him!

He is still a happy, happy baby. He has had ear infections for the past two weeks so we are working through that! Poor guy!
Basketball games start next week!!! Pray for us and for Justin!!!!

Halloween
In keeping with the tradition we started last year...Riley and Brooks made ghost costumes out of pillowcases to scare Justin.
Here is last year...

This year they got a little more into it.
They decorated. Riley drew this basketball player and goal. Pretty good for a four year old!

Brooks drew a basketball on his.

And here they are coming down a dark hall with flashlights. Justin was SOOO SCARED!!!

(I need to pick up a few white pillow cases!)
Then it was Halloween.
Ready to "Down, Set, Hut" all night. He has been wearing eye black for four days now. I don't know if I will ever be able to get it all the way off after so many days!

My mini football player.

My cheerleader.

Ready to go.

Happy Halloween!

Trunk or Treat
Last night was "Trunk or Treat" at church. We decided last minute to join in and decorate our trunk. I didn't want to spend any money and we didn't have much time so we looked around our house for decorations. Surprise, surprise...what do we have a ton of???? Sports stuff! So we went with the sports theme.
We painted the car...

We dressed up...
Brooks worked long and hard at getting these cones just right!
Riley did a little cheer to get us fired up to trick or treat.
We had plenty of "down, set, hut" all night.
Riley helped hand out candy. She wouldn't give a kid candy until they said "trick or treat." Ha! Then after she would say "What do you say?" Looking for a thank you! Ha!!! This girl is something else.
This is our Bible class teacher. He was Chief "Full of Bull" sitting in a tent. Cade was the only one brave enough to go inside.

Die Hard
This child is obsessed with with sports. I mean OBSESSED! Especially football! If you ever need a good laugh just drive by my house to see me down in a three point stance about to hike a football. I do this about a hundred times a day. Not to mention all the kicks I block or pitches I throw. Lately he has worn a football jersey 24/7. Seriously. He sleeps in them and wears them all day. Too funny. He can name almost any professional football team on TV. He loves for us to mistake him for Clark (Jordan's fiance who plays for ACU.) He thinks it is hilarious! We have to bribe him to take his helmet off (might be a good thing if he does wear it!). He even eats in it!
Uh oh...time is up...bats are swinging...better go protect Cade! Ha

To make things a little more festive around here we decided to make Halloween decorations. Also, Brooks is no longer napping so it makes for some LONG days! I am always looking for things to fill the time!
So, we made some ghosts and spiders...

Can't you tell they are so afraid of the ghosts! ha

Next we painted our pumpkins.

Silly me put them out in the grass. The next day it rained and washed all the paint off...oh well, I guess we can paint them again!

Then we made "mr. potato head" jack-o-lanterns. A princess for Riley and a skeleton for Brooks.

As for my precious, happy baby...he is EVERYWHERE!!! It did not take him long to figure out this crawling thing. Man, it is crazy around here!!!!

The other day I couldn't find him. I walked out of the room for two seconds and when I came back he was gone! He had crawled between the couch and the table. Something back there must have caught his eye because he did it again as soon as I put him back!
Can you see his little head wedged down there!

One by one I have been working on the kids' rooms. Since Cade actually has his own room at this house and is not in my room I had to create a nursery. So, at sixth months Cade finally got a nursery!

Closer up

Luckily there is not much wall space to decorate!
Poor Cade has a double ear infection. His first time! Thank goodness! Brooks was already scheduled for tubes by six months!
We are in trouble! This little guy is already "army crawling" everywhere. It is only a matter of time before he takes off! I am going to have to seriously increase my vacuuming!!! Start saving for a Roomba!
