February

I can't believe it is February 1st tomorrow! This year has gone by so fast already.

We spent Sunday getting ready for some of our February "activities."

Of course, we have the valentines mailboxes the kids decorated. Each day leading to Valentines Day they get a little something in their mailbox. It's fun and gives us something to look forward to each day.

Another project I created this month is our "prayer wall." We talked to the kids about all the ways that you can show someone you love them...not just hugs or kisses. Then we talked about how one of the best things you can do for someone you love is to pray for them. So, on the wall I put 28 hearts with 28 people on them. Every night in February we will choose a heart and pray for that person/ people. I hope this can help the kids realize how important prayer is! I tried to put people in our lives that the kids can relate to...family or friends. But then I also put people that we need to remember to pray for...fireman, doctors, teachers etc.

This is the verse I based it around. Riley actually thought it was pretty cool that Jesus prayed for her so long ago even before she was born.

So, let the February crafting begin...

PS..when my computer crashed I lost all my blogs. So if you are a blogger, please leave your address. I feel so disconnected!!!

Might be stealing that idea myself! What a fabulous Mom, not only to have such great faith-building stuff for your kids, but to also share it with us!!! :) Wish you lived closer so you could "rub off" on me.

On a separate note, I loooooove your confession of sitting outside the kids' club at the gym for an extra 15 min. Made me laugh out loud... because I can so relate!!
