Making an Ocean

Today Riley and I attempted to make an ocean in a plastic water bottle. She seemed to enjoy it. Most of the steps were easy and she could do them herself.

Ready to go.

Pouring in the water.

Adding a little sand.

Shaking it up

Looking for the octopus we put in the bottle.

You should always wear your ballet suit when making ocean crafts. VIP. We did something similiar to this at Library. We used the blue hair gel from the Dollar Store and put it Ziplocs with shells, plastic fish, etc. It was cool to smoosh it around.

Is there a book that all mom's go to to find things to do with kids? If so, make sure i have one if I ever have kids. All I know is to plop them down in front of the TV, is that wrong?
