He is Here!
Baby Cade made his grand entrance into the world at 12:14 am on Monday morning. It was a crazy delivery. For some reason my early labor made me sick. Luckily the nurses were able to stop it with some meds. Then, I reacted strangely to my epidural and my blood pressure dropped 30 points. I started to pass out and get sick. They had to pump me full of ephedrine to get me stable again. It happened twice! It was a little scary. After all that, my epidural didn't work on my right side and I was feeling some PAIN! Luckily I dilated from an 8 to 10 quickly. One contraction later and he was out! Unfortunately since he came out so quickly, he didn't have time to clear all the fluid out of his lungs. He is having to spend a few days in the NICU until it gets taken care of. The good thing is he will be just fine! He should be home in a few days!
Here he is...we don't have many pictures since he is in the NICU.

Cade is beautiful, Hollie! Get some rest while you can :) God bless you guys!
YAY! Congrats!! I've been checking daily! He is precious! And I am glad everything turned out ok! Man, that is ROUGH! I will be praying that NICU time is minimal.... that place can be rough.
So excited for y'all!!!
Congrats! Hope you are recovering nicely. Praying for a quick stay in the NICU!
What a sweetie! And wow, Hollie sounds like a VERY eventful labor! Thank God all is well! NICU's are wonderful....Cade is in good hands! Can't wait to see pictures of your family of 5 at home together :-) Hugs and Prayers!
i know it's so hard to have a baby in the NICU, but I know it is comforting to know that Cade is going to be okay and that he is getting the best care possible...those NICU nurses are amazing, aren't they?
i'm so glad that you are alright, too...experiences like that just remind you again what a miracle it is to bring a child into the world...all of the things that have to go just a certain way, in your body and in your baby's developing body...praise God that Cade is here and that your family of FIVE will all be at home together in just a few days!
we just can't wait to meet the newest cousin...i'm thinking we all need to see each other more than just holidays...these kiddos are just growing up so fast, and it's always so fun to watch them have so much fun together...i'm thinking we could all use a VACATION! maybe in a few years, we can have a second generation Disneyworld cousin trip!
sure do love you guys, and we continue to pray...for health, for both you and baby Cade...i pray that you all get to go home soon and that you enjoy every precious moment at the beginning of such an exciting time of life...with each new child, a new journey begins, joining with the journey already in progress...how fun it will be to watch Riley and Brooks love on their little brother, I bet Riley will be such a good little helper...i hope you get to really enjoy those moments, that pass too quickly, when they are so tiny and you can just cuddle them all day long...nothing like those precious times...and I know they are harder to come by when you have more than one child wanting and needing you...but i hope you can still have those times each day, even if it literally is just for a moment...i pray for you, mama of THREE, that you are blessed with productive sleep...that the rest and energy you receive and feel will be completely disproportionate to the actual amount of sleep you will most likely be getting!
and i pray that you will have peace as you start in this new adventure...i'm sure it's an overwhelming thought at times...but of course you know how worth it all of it is...and besides that, you are a GREAT MOM! i'm constantly amazed at your creativity and your parenting skills, your ability to discipline effectively while still retaining that laid back nature that we all love about you as a person...and, of course, your ability to capture priceless moments on film(i mean, that really is a GIFT!) it's really very simple...you were born to be a mommy!
i'm thankful to have other mothers around me, like you, to look up to as i try to be the best wife and mother that i can be and long to be...i'm thankful to be a part of a family that has so many of those good mothers to model after...
love you!
He is beautiful! Congrats you guys~ I hope he is home SOON. Hollie, it sounds like you had quite an experience so I really hope you are feeling better. Hugs, Kelly S.

YAY!!! I am so happy he is here. I can't wait to meet him. I am so happy you are ok. That sounds awful to have to go through.
He looks beautiful and I know you can't wait to get him in your arms and love on him. I love that he is looking right at the camera. Already taking notes from his big sister and working the camera.
Love you all and can't wait to learn more about him.
Congratulations Hollie! Can't believe you have 3 babies now - and my goodness, that delivery story was pretty crazy. I'm so thankful you and Cade are OK and I hope he gets out of the NICU ASAP. He is adorable in the picture - can't wait to see more. We love you guys and will be praying for you as you recover and go through this transition of being a family of FIVE!
