Butterflies
A long time ago, JoJo gave us this kit to "grow" butterflies. It finally warmed up enough so we started. Our little caterpillars came in the mail and the waiting began. First we watched them form into a chrysalis. It was pretty interesting.
Then we watched and watched for the butterflies to appear.
We really watched closely!
After a week, we had five butterflies. We kept them in the cage for a few days.
Then it was time to let them go. Riley unzipped the cage and....nothing!! Those butterflies were not moving. Riley and Brooks stood there and just stared waiting for them to fly out. Sure enough, along came Cade...he tripped and landed on top of the cage. Those five butterflies flew out so fast both Riley and Brooks screamed and fell back. Pretty funny!
Then, in true Brooks fashion, he decided he needed to catch them again. I think all five survived...so I hope.

That is so cute! How neat that they got to do that...Macy would eat that up.
First of all I miss you so very much! I really miss you! I just spent some time catching up on your blog and it just made me wish I was driving back from Dallas with you late at night laughing hysterically! :) Your kids have grown up so much since I saw them last--I can't believe Cade is ONE! And he looks so much like Brooks to me. Hope yall are doing well. I was so jealous when Amy said she was going to watch basketball that day with yall and the Ridgells and crew... so jealous. Love you!
ours came in the mail last week! the kids are LOVING this! they are almost ready to form their crysalis (sp?). another hit... a venus fly trap. lowes has them... highly recommend those suckers. :)
