Who's Scared of a Duck?

Well, I am . Riley and I went to feed the ducks in our neighborhood. We were not even out of the car when they came running! One was huge! So, the fearless mom I am, jumped back into the car and we fed them from the window.

Here is our view from the window.

Riey loved throwing food to them. I think I have a ton of bread in between my seat and window. I guess she is only one, I shouldn't expect her to be able to throw ten feet yet. Of course, she did throw Justin's cell phone about eight feet into her pool the other day.

Later when Justin showed up the ducks calmed down. I guess they were tired of us. They swam into the water so we could get out of the car.

My sweet Riley also wanted to swim into the water. Her fearlessness amazes me.

Riley did learn a new word for the day. She kept saying "duck" the entire time we were out there. She would also pop her tongue to try and call them. Too cute.

I am totally with you on this Hollie! Did you ever read Summer's blog post about this same thing...her pictures look almost just like yours...and if i had had my camera with me when it happened to us, it would have looked about the same...I didn't know what to do...some of them were big and they were closing in on every side...

We have since had much more peaceful duck feedings from further distances...so don't give up!

we love you guys...sad you can't make the party, but we'll see you at Anna Claire's

Cute pictures! That girl is fearless... She didn't get that from her aunt Jenna.

Congratulations on the new baby! I am a little behind, but oh well. Riley is precious, and I am very jealous of her tan! She looks cute as a blonde.
