Poor Brooksy

My little guy has had a rough weekend. Saturday night at the football game he was running around. He wasn't looking and ran into a little girl. He fell back and hit his head on the concrete. He immediately threw up. We thought he was going to be okay, but he kept throwing up and became somewhat lethargic. So, off to the ER we went. They rushed him back but it seemed like it was taking forever for the CT scan. Meanwhile, I was watching Brooks become more and more unresponsive. I was getting very nervous...so was the nurse (that didn't help!) So, after my pushing, they rushed him back to do a CT scan. Thank God it came back clean! Unfortunately the little guy couldn't stop throwing up. So, we got to spend the night at the hospital. They gave him medicine for his tummy and IV fluids and monitored him all night. The next day he seemed better. Right as we were signing the papers to go home, he threw up again! So, we got to stay a few more hours. Finally we went home. I took him in today to his doctor for a follow-up. She said he looked great. As we were leaving Brooks threw up everywhere! So, I marched right back in the doctor's office for help! She said more than likely it is normal, but to watch him. Also, there is a stomach bug going around that he could have picked up at the ER. So now we just watch and wait.
Say a little prayer for Brooks. Hopefully it is just a stomach bug...it feels a little weird praying FOR a stomach bug! Ha Ha
(sorry about the underlining...gotta love blogger!)

Poor thing! My girls have been worried about him!`
You all have been in our prayers. We are looking forward to hugging every one of you this weekend. Brooks is so sweet and precious.
Hugs and kisses to all of you.
Oh Hollie. I'm so sorry. It was Elizabeth who ran right into him and knocked him down. :( She felt so bad about the whole thing (and so do we!!). I'm sorry to hear that he's had all this trouble since then. Keep us posted. We're saying prayers for Brooks!
Oh goodness. That sounds scary. Hope Brooks starts feeling better soon.
He looks so pitiful on the couch. Poor Brooks! I drew about him in my journal at kindergarten today; the kids were so worried. We're praying for y'all!
I am so sorry...I've been there with Jake...and it was miserable. He did the same thing, pretty much, but I thought it was him hitting his head, but turned out to be his bad asthma attack that kept him continuously throwing up. Awful. I don't think there's anything worse than worrying about the safety and health of your kids. Hope Brooks is better soon. He sure is a cutie lying there on that couch!
Ugh... poor thing! Saying a prayer!
Glad we could help out with some medical advice. You did the right thing by bringing him to the ER. He'll be perfect again soon, and will probably bonk his head a million more times!
The little ones can sure scare you to death when they are so sick. Hope he is feeling much better now. I hope the rest of you are doing fine. Sure would love to see all of you. Hope everything is going great for all of you by now. Much love to you. love you all. Nana
We have been checking on him with JOJO and hope that he is feeling much better today. That is so scary. Thanks for posting.
