My PaPa
So, even though you know that the end is coming, it still hurts. My PaPa passed away this morning after a long battle with cancer. Growing up he was always so special to me. I always had a seat next to him on the couch where we would watch "Wheel of Fortune." He would hold my hand and rub my knuckles. Sometimes he would rub them so hard it made me wince, but I never wanted to let go. I remember him sneaking me candy bars from the cabinet or making his yummy rice dressing. I remember watching him play cards at his desk and working in his garden on his tomatoes. I remember all the times he asked how basketball was going for Justin and all the times he told me he loved me. I will miss him.
This was our last trip to Louisiana. He got to meet my kids for the first time.
He left behind my precious Gran! Gran, you are "in Riley's heart!"
